Dear Friends,

I hope this email finds you well. I have just returned from a ministry trip to Brazil, and I wanted to share with you a few highlights from my time there.

I spent the first five days in Rio de Janeiro, working with a new church, where I was asked to teach evangelism and work alongside Pastor Luiz Paulo in his church planting ministry. (His report has already been sent to you).

From there, I went to the Amazon basin for six days. While there, I worked with an English school, that I have had a great deal of interaction with over the past several years. In the past, I have taught evangelism there, as well as follow up on their progress in sharing their faith. It was so encouraging to see their growth and their willingness to reach out to others.

The second portion of my time in the Amazon basin, was spent with a group of Pastors, who were involved in a course in homiletics. The Professor, who taught the course, was so professional and current. He stressed a few points that touched on some very key issues. One thing he talked about is our reason for “preaching.” He pointed out that the main objective is evangelism, and that when this is done, everything else will fall into place. God was affirming these things in my own heart.

I want to thank you for praying for me during my time in Brazil, as well as for my family at home.

God bless you,
George
